A film to showcase how everyone responds differently to cinema.
‘100 Faces’ was a 30 second Ident for DCM (Digital Cinema Media) that shows how we all respond differently to film, by compiling the reactions of an entire audience into one portrait.
DCM set a D&AD Student Awards brief to ‘show how film feels’. Our insight was that watching a film is a unique experience, and very different for each person. The challenge then became, how do you show how film feels, when everyone in the audience responds differently? We filmed 100 people, the size of an average cinema audience, reacting to the exact same clip.
