Broken & Unfinished
A publication re-imagining the V&A's collection of broken and unfinished artefacts.
Over a million works of art in the UK are either broken or unfinished. Some may see this as a shame, and a great loss - and to a certain extent, it is. But this can also be a great creative challenge.
We delved into the V&A’s vast archive in search of broken and unfinished artefacts. We then let the public finish them. They drew all over history, re-imagining it and giving these pieces a whole new lease of life. Whether unexpected, inventive, irreverent or just plain funny, we’ve collated the results for you to see here.
